Bertha Margaret Erickson was born March 7, 1908, in Independence Township, Day County, Langford, South Dakota, to parents Christian and Mathilda (Dahl) Erickson. She and Oscar Lindquist were united in marriage on August 3, 1931, at Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She spent all her married life near the Clarkfield and Montevideo area and lived in the Clarkfield Care Center since August, 1981. She is survived by her husband, Oscar; one son, Earl (and Beulah) of Clarkfield; three daughters: Leona (and James) Stefferud, Erskine, Minnesota, Sherley (and Frank) O'Neil, Reading, Minnesota, and Janice (and Marvin) Nelson, Clarkfield; two brothers: Elmer Erickson, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Clarence Erickson, Quartzsite, Arizonia; four sisters: Mrs. Emma Nelson, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Mrs. Mabel Klvchesky, Gresham, Oregon, Mrs. Harvey (Myrtle) Gayken, Sandy, Oregon, and Mrs. Melvin (Sophie) Paulson, Pierpont, South Dakota; 19 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Her parents and two brothers, Melvin and Clarence preceded her in death.
