Bert Ueland was born July 5, 1888, in Minnesota, the son of Ole and Karen Ueland. Mr. Ueland was a World War I Veteran of the United States Armed Forces. He passed away March 26, 1967, in Friendship Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, the result of an automobile accident, at the age of 78 years. His wife, Elsie, and granddaughter, Tammy Koch, age three, were also killed as a result of the accident. Survivors include three daughters and one son: Mrs. Laura Johnson, Mrs. Hazel Coursolle, Bert Ueland, Jr., and Mrs. Isabelle Kuehl.
