Bernt Thompson was born November 15th, 1888, to Sievert and Ranghild Thompson at Blue Earth, Minnesota. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. At the age of ten years he moved with his parents and brother to Echo, Minnesota, where they lived for several years. Later they moved to a farm southwest of Clarkfield, where they resided until 1935 when he and his father purchased a home in Clarkfield and moved there. In 1944 his health failed him and he entered the Madison Memorial Home, Madison, Minnesota. About a month ago his ailments became very serious and he was taken to the University Hospital in Minneapolis, where he passed away November 11, 1949, at the age of 60 years, 11 months, and 26 days. He is survived by a brother, Thomas, of Osage, Minnesota. Blessed be his memory.
