Bernice T. (Eischens) Roles was born October 23, 1924, at St. Leo, Minnesota, to parents John and Magdalena (Baierl) Eischens. She was baptized on October 26, 1924, at St. Leo, Minnesota. Bernice and Eugene Roles were united in marriage on October 26, 1949, at St. Leo. They were the parents of: Lawrence, Marilyn, Alice, Lambert, Donna, John, Annette, and Rosemary. Eugene and Bernice farmed their until they moved to Marshall, Minnesota, in 1995. She was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church and Women's Society, Catholic Aid, and also a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church of Marshall. She enjoyed Bingo, playing cards and spending time with family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Bernice passed away on Monday, July 3, 2006, at Select Specialty Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, at the age of 81 years, 8 months, and 10 days. She is survived by her children: Lawrence (Rita) Roles of Dodge Center, Minnesota, Marilyn (Dennis) Rasche of Blue Earth, Minnesota, Alice (Tom) Van Overbeke of North Ridgeville, Ohio, Lambert Roles of Marshall, Minnesota, Donna (Terry) Schreiber of Taunton, Minnesota, John Roles of Cottonwood, Minnesota, Annette Roles of Marshall, Minnesota, and Rosemary (Rick) Peterson of Minneota, Minnesota; 20 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters: Genevieve Jelen, Florence Braun, Magdalene Kapolczinski, and Lillian (Sylvester) Sanow; and brothers: Mervin (Velma) Eischens and Silverius (Marcella) Eischens; and extended family: Leona Eischens, Tony Kopka, Lawerence and Janet Buysse, Carol Roles, and Doris Stachowski. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two grandchildren, three brothers, and two sisters.
