Bernard H. Kuhlmann of Boyd, Minnesota, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 1976, at the age of 76 years. He was born in Huntlosen, Oldenburg, Germany, on January 24, 1900, to Wilhelm and Anna (Luttmann) Kuhlmann. He was baptized as an infant and confirmed in the Lutheran faith in April 1914. In Germany he learned the trade of painting and decorating, leaving for America at the age of 23 and continuing the work in this area until his death. He was married to Frieda Wieting of Oldenburg, Germany on July 11, 1925, at the Tyro parsonage by his uncle, the Rev. Bernard Luttmann. One son was born to this union, Roger William. He is survived by his wife, Frieda; son and wife, Roger and Martha of Montevideo; five grandchildren: Kathryn Marie Adams of Galveston, Texas, Barbara Ann Moxness of San Diego, California, Nancy Elizabeth, Jon David, and Mary Sue of Montevideo; one great grandchild, Amy Marie of Galveston, Texas; two brothers: Gustav of Boyd and Carl of Oldenburg, Germany; one niece, Louise of Duluth; two nephews: Robert of Boyd and Dennis of Minneapolis; and five nieces and three nephews in Germany His parents; one brother, George; and sister Ida preceded him in death in Germany IN MEMORY OF BERNARD H.
