Berget "Betsy" Kise was born January 14, 1871, in Norway, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ingebret Stensrud. She married Hans Kise. They were the parents of ten children: Ida (Mrs. Emil Ellingson), Henry, Oscar, Ingvald Manford, Hanna, Cora (Mrs. George Jacobson), Gladys (Mrs. Oscar Bestland), Forest, Lloyd and Elvina. Mrs. Kise died Sunday, October 22, 1950, at her Boyd home, at the age of 79 years. Survivors include children: Henry, Ingvald Manford, Cora, Gladys, Forest and Lloyd. Mrs. Kise was preceded in death by her husband and children: Ida, Hanna and Elvina.
