Bert Erickson was born on February 20, 1901, at Vikedahl, Norway, the son of Erick and Boghild (Johanneson) Stolsmark. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church of Norway. He came to America as a young man. He worked as a farm laborer for several years in the Hanley Falls vicinity. He later moved to Minneapolis where he worked in an industry for many years. After retiring he continued living in Minneapolis. Mr. Erickson passed away on Saturday, June 7, 1969, at his home in Minneapolis after a lingering illness. He reached the age of 68 years. He is survived by a sister-in-law, Mrs. Gunda Erickson of Hanley Falls, and a number of nieces and nephews.
