Bennie Cornelius Ness passed away Friday, November 16, 1956, at the Clarkfield Community Hospital, Clarkfield, Minnesota, after a short illness, at the age of 67 years. He was born October 11, 1889, at Corwith, Iowa, the son of Ole Ness and Jenny (Thompson) Ness. He was baptized in the Lutheran faith at Corwith and confirmed by Rev. J.H. Stenburg at Bethany Lutheran Church in Leland, Illinois. In 1906 he moved with his father, brother and sister to Boyd, Minnesota, where he resided until his death. He was united in marriage to Jessie Irene Nelson on September 1, 1912. To this union three children were born, Donald, Gene and Phyllis. He is survied by his widow, Jessie Ness; Donald of Billings, Montana; Gene of Aberdeen, South Dakota; and Mrs. Phillip Smogard of Minneapolis; five grandchildren and one brother, Irvin Ness of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Preceding him in death were his father and mother and two sisters, Letty and Mabel. IN MEMORY OF BENNIE C.
