Benford Molstad, 87, of Clarkfield, Minnesota, died Thursday, August 15, 1991, at the Clarkfield Care Center. Services were held Monday, August 19, 1991, 1:30 p.m. at Bergen Lutheran Church with Pastor Gordon Trelstad officiating. Organist was Janet Gabrielson, vocal music was by Debbie Landmark and Tom Listul accompanied himself on the guitar. Casket bearers were Richard Christopherson, Percy Falk, David Gabrielson, Alton Isaacs, Gilmore Larson and Roger Sorum. Final Resting Place was in Bergen Lutheran Cemetery. Benford was a lifetime resident on his centennial farm near Clarkfield. Benford, known as "Ben", was born on January 13, 1904, to Olaf and Lizzie Molstad. He was baptized, confirmed and a lifetime active member of the Bergen Lutheran Church in rural Stony Run Township. Ben actively farmed his 200 acre site until retirement when he was in his mid-60's. He and his wife of almost 61 years, Myrtle Kittleson, remained on the building site. Ben is survived by his wife, Myrtle, their son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Arloa, of Waconia, Minnesota, and granddaughters, Monica and Marcy.
