Belle T. Haroldson, 88, of Clarkfield, Minnesota, died Friday, October 4, 1985, at the Clarkfield Care Center. Services were held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 7, 1985, at the Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church in Hanley Falls, Minnesota, with Pastor H. Norman Schey officiating. The soloist was Mavis Ellingson with Collen Hewitt the organist. Casket Bearers were David Haroldson, Harlan Kruger, Gregory Lecy, David Anderson, Merlin Gustafson and Leon Velde. Final Resting Place is the Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church East Cemetery, Hanley Falls, Minnesota. She was born February 13, 1897, at Wood Lake Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, to Gilbert and Ella (Johnson) Gilbertson. She was bapitzed on March 30, 1897, by Rev. J.S. Strand at the Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church in Hanley Falls and confirmed by Rev. Ole Lakensgaard in 1911. She married John Haroldson on July 10, 1919, by Rev. Lakensgaard at the Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church. They had one daughter, Ella and two sons, Glen and John. She lived on the family farm most of her life. Upon retirement she and John moved to Granite Falls, Minnesota. He died October 30, 1967. Soon after that she moved to the Riverview Apartments and lived there until she moved to the Clarkfield Care Center three and a half years ago. She is survived by daughter, Mrs. Ella Lecy of Spicer, Minnesota; son, Glen of Hanley Falls; 10 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; sisters, Gloria Westagard of Isaquat, Washington, Mrs. Alma Carlson of Howard Lake, Minnesota, and Mrs. Thedora Ree of Spring Park, Minnesota.
