Becky Jane Weinhold was born June 8, 1957, to Bruce and Stella (Peterson) Weinhold at Clarkfield, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church in Cottonwood, Minnesota. She graduated from Cottonwood High School in 1975 and continued her education at Granite Falls Technical Institute. Becky married Charles Drown on October 19, 1978, and together had four beautiful children. Becky married Robert Kompelien on July 7, 2006, at St. Lucas Lutheran Church. Becky enjoyed riding motorcycle with the wind blowing through her hair. She also enjoyed traveling, gardening, bird watching, and her pet animals, from her childhood pet skunk to her dog 'Miss Molly'. She enjoyed working with the collection analyst team at US Bank in Marshall, Minnesota as a Senior Collections Analyst. Becky passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at her home surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 50 years, 11 months and 12 days. She is survived by her loving husband, Rob; children Amanda Drown (fiance Jeff Bot) of Wood Lake, Minnesota, Sam (Karla) Drown of Marshall, Minnesota, and James Drown (fiance Barb Ruppert) of Albert City, Iowa. Also surviving are grandchildren: Andrew Bot, Justin Mettling and Nate Drown; and her mother, Stella Weinhold of Cottonwood, Minnesota; siblings Donna (Duane) Velde of Mesa, Arizona, Bill Weinhold (and friend Deb Anderson) of Clarkfield, Minnesota, Merlin (Jan) Weinhold of St. Anthony, Minnesota, Marian (Bruce) Baumann of Glendale, Arizona, Nancy (Mike) Fritz of Montevideo, Minnesota; and sisters-in-law, Kristen Reed (and friend Stan Stille), Karen (Pat) Feterl; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Maria Drown; father Bruce Weinhold; infant brother David; father and mother-in-law Erling and Beverly Kompelien. She will be missed by all and will forever be in our hearts.
