Barbara Della Paul was born in Marshall, MN, on May 29th, 1947, to Woodrow and Edith (Garrow) Paul. She attended Marshall Public School before marrying William "Bill" Dirckx on November 9, 1963. The couple moved to Clarkfield where they had and raised their children: Dawn, Michael, and Pamela. While living in Clarkfield, Barb worked at Clarkfield Outdoors until she retired. Barb enjoyed crocheting, reading, bingo, and an occasional trip to the casino. Barb remained in town even after Bill's death in 2003 until, for health reasons, she moved to Luther Haven in Montevideo where she resided until her death.

On Saturday, November 25th, 2023, at the age of 76, Barb passed away at the St. Cloud Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Edith Paul; husband, Bill Dirckx, and sister, Phyllis.

Barb is survived by her children, Dawn Dirckx (and friend Ignacio Zuniga) of St. Cloud, Michael (Jackie) Dirckx of Pierz, MN, and Pam Buchmann of Brooklyn Center, MN; grandchildren, Thomas (Alana) Peterson, KrisAnn (Aaron) Tester, Trent (Cindi) Buchmann, Kassi (Bert) Banayat, Katie Peterson, Joseph Dirckx, Amber (Taylor) Chaisson, and Mikaela Dirckx; brother, David Paul; sisters, Joan Des Lauriers, Kathy Coudron, and Betty (Neal) Sabin, and many great-grandchildren.

A visitation with the family will be held on Friday, December 1st, from 1-3 PM at the J.H. Lynner Funeral Home in Clarkfield. Interment to follow in the Clarkfield City Cemetery.
