Her husband, Gabriel, passed away in 1929 leaving her to care for this large family. A son, Ole, passed away at 18 months old in 1910. A daughter, Hannah (Mrs. Noble Evenson) passed away in 1964. The Haaland family also made a home for several relatives and friends. Barbara Haaland passed away May 17, 1971, at the Granite Falls Manor, Granite Falls, Minnesota, at the age of 87 years, after a lingering illness of about six months. Left to mourn besides her ten children are 19 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; two brothers: Rasmus and Ingemund Fenn; a sister, Liv (Mrs. Karl Loen) all of Norway; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Olga Isakson, of North Dakota; besides many nieces and nephews in Norway and the United States. Preceding her in death were her husband, Gabriel, son, Ole and daughter, Hannah. Her oldest brother, Ingebrigt, died at the age of 14 and a sister died in infancy. IN MEMORY OF MRS.
