Avis Geraldine (Holm) Lundy was born May 6, 1926, in Clarkfield, Minnesota, to August and Hilda (Hognestad) Holm. She was baptized and confirmed at the Clarkfield Norwegian Evangelical Lutheran Church. She attended school in Clarkfield. On March 31, 1944, she was united in marriage to Jaurold P. Lundy in Montevideo, Minnesota. They lived on a farm West of Hanley Falls, Minnesota, until moving to Granite Falls, Minnesota, in 1984. They sold their home in 2002 and lived at Granite Ridge Place in Granite Falls until recently moving to the Granite Manor. She was a longtime member of the Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church. She enjoyed baking, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends. Avis passed away at the Granite Manor on Friday, November 11, 2005, at the age of 79 years, 6 months, and 5 days. She is survived by son-in-law David Anderson of Granite Falls; two grandsons: Kent (and wife Pam) Anderson of Orange City, Iowa, and Clark (and wife Lori) Anderson of Granite Falls; and one great grandson, Landon. She is also survived by her sister Ardis (and Orville) Miller; brothers Hardell (and Doris) Holm and Wesley (and Donna) Holm; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Sharon, husband Jaurold, and brother Harley. Blessed be her memory.
