Augusta Pauline Roske, 70, Tyro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 1989, at the Canby Hospital, Canby, Minnesota. Funeral services for Augusta Roske were held jointly with her brother, Walter, at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 16, 1989, from the St. John's Lutheran Church of Omro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnnesota, with Pastor Jon. N. Wolff officiating. Organist was Karen Mamer with congregational hymns being sung. Burial was in the St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Omro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. Serving as Casket Bearers for Augusta were Arlen and Virgil Koepp, Harry and Victor Leppke, David Steering and James Weckwerth. Augusta Pauline Roske was born June 8, 1918, in Tyro Township to Ludwig D. Roske and Bertha (Golnick) Roske. She was baptized June 9, 1918, by Pastor Pankow. She was confirmed in 1932 by Pastor Henry Albrecht. Augusta went to school in District 44 and St. John's Parochial School. Her life was devoted to her parents and brothers. She helped with farming and enjoyed working with livestock. She was an active member of St. John's Church. Gustie was a very good hearted person and willing to lend a helping hand to everyone. She will be missed by many cousins and friends. She is survived by one brother, William. She was preceded in death by one brother, Walter, and her parents.
