August Bernhard Anundson was born February 24, 1873, at Arndahl, Norway, the son of Christian and Tomena Aanonson. He came to America at the age of 20 years and located in Kandiyohi County, Minnesota, where he lived nine years. In 1902 he came to Yellow Medicine County, working out at farm labor. From 1908 to 1919 he rented a farm in Tyro Township, moving back to Stony Run where he farmed until 20 years ago when his health failed. Since the passing of his wife he has made his home with his daughters. He was married March 31, 1906, to Marie Olson. To this union eight children were born: Thea (Mrs. Elvin Kraakaas), Edgar, Carl, Ruth (Mrs. Edwin Hagen), Myrtle (Mrs. Alfred Hemmingson) and Adeline (Mrs. Marvin Just). His wife and two sons, Arthur and Orten, preceded him in death. Also surviving are 22 grandchildren and one sister in Norway. IN MEMORY OF AUGUST B.
