Mrs. Harold (Audrey LaVonn) Foss was born September 5, 1933, to parents Walter and Esther (Marquardt) Stroschein of Wood Lake, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at St. Luke's Lutheran Church of Posen Township. Audrey married Harold Foss on February 21, 1954, at St. Luke's Church. Their marriage was blessed with four sons: Jeffrey, Bradley, Byron, and Douglas. Audrey worked as a housewife and was active in church work. She helped with Vacation Bible School, Ladies Aid, and Bible Study Groups both at Zion Lutheran of Tyro Township and after the family moved to Clarkfield, she was involved at Augustana Lutheran. Audrey passed away on Tuesday evening, August 20, 1996, at the Clarkfield Care Center at the age of 62 years, 11 months, and 16 days. She is survived by her husband, Harold, of Clarkfield, and sons: Jeffrey of Willmar, Minnesota, Bradley (and Lynnette) of Dawson, Minnesota, Byron (and Clarice) of Montevideo, Minnesota, and Douglas (and Diane) of Ft. Campbell, Kentucky. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; sister, Darlene Tollerud of Fargo, North Dakota; and stepmother, Clara Stroschein of Redwood Falls, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and one sister. Audrey was a devoted and loving wife and mother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
