Arthur Riediger of Clarkfield, Minnesota, passed away Tueday, March 6, 1984, at Rice Memorial Hospital, Willmar, Minnesota, at the age of 80 years, 6 months, 15 days. Funeral Services were held Saturday, March 10, 1984, 2:00 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church of Omro Township, with Pastor David Meyer officiating. Hymns sung by the congregation were "Be Still, My Soul," "Jesus Thy Blood and Righteousness" and "Abide With Me." The organist was Karen Mamer. Olson Arthur Riediger was born August 19, 1903, to parents, Gustav and Bertha (Heintz) Riediger in Omro Township. He was baptized into the Christian faith and confirmed in his faith at St. John's Lutheran Church of Omro Township. On October 9, 1937, Arthur was united in Marriage to Emily Wiegers. After his marriage, Arthur farmed in different areas until his retirement in 1973. He was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church, served on the church board as Elder for fifteen years, was chairman twelve years, and also served as an usher for twenty years. Arthur is survived by his wife, Emily, and one brother, Gerhard of Spokane, Washington. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Adolph, John and Wilhelm; four sisters, Emma Keinst, Ida Pipke, Helena Nohrenberg, and Clara Keinst.
