Arthur Lawrence Miller, 83, of Hanley Falls, Minnesota, died Thursday, July 17, 1986, at the Granite Falls Hospital. Services were held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 19, 1986, at the Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church of Hanley Falls with Pastor Kenneth Johnson officiating. Organist was Mavis Gustafson with solo music by Mavis Ellingson. Casket Bearers were Marvin Buysee, Stan Engel, Lowell Gustafson, Keith Harris, Gaylen Redetzke and Elmo Volstad. Final Resting Place is the East Yellow Medicine Lutheran Cemetery, Hanley Falls, Minnesota. He was born April 11, 1903, near Ruthton, Minnesota, to John and Emelie (Lettow) Miller. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. On March 28, 1934, he married Amelia Giebink and had daughter Ardith. They moved to Hanely Falls in the spring of 1953 and operated Art's Recreation until retirement in February, 1985. His special interests included the old-time Aultmann-Taylor tractor used in threshing. He is survived by wife Amelia of Hanley Falls; daughter Ardith (Mrs. Kenneth) Grothen of Hanley Falls; grandchildren Lynette Becker of Chetek, Wisconsin, Sandra VanLerberghe of Apple Valley, Minnesota, Patricia Buysee of Cottonwood, Minnesota, and James Grothen of Hanley Falls; plus seven great grandchildren.
