Arthur Loose, 71 of Montevideo, Minnesota, died Wednesday, July 2, 1986, in Montevideo. Services were held Saturday, July 5, 1986, 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Montevideo with Rev. Richard Hamlow officiating. Leona Pedlar was the organist with hymns sung by the congregation. Casket Bearers were Jesse and Orin Willander, Otto and Raymond Lachelt, Vernon Loose and Juleen Larson. Final Resting Place is the Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens near Montevideo. He was born November 25, 1905, to Julius and Martha (Kelm) Loose of Tyro Township near Boyd, Minnesota. On February 18, 1931, he married Cecelia Willander of rural Clarkfield. They farmed for several years and started a hatchery in 1940. The Loose family resided on the farm near Boyd until November 1963 when they moved to Montevideo. They continued operating their hatchery until health conditions forced him to retire from the business. He is survived by his daughter Shirley and her husband Ray Schaikoski of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; brother Elmer of Montevideo; and friend Doris Marquardt.
