Arthur Alvin Erickson passed away at his home on Friday, July 11, 1975, at the age of 77 years. He was born at Cottonwood on March 22, 1898, of parents Ole and Ingar (Stensrud) Erickson, both natives of Norway. He was baptized and confirmed in Silo Lutheran Church at Cottonwood and attended the public school at Cottonwood. On February 7, 1918, he was united in marriage to Betsey Ellingson in Minneapolis. He is survived by two daughters: Ethel (Mrs. Al Dirnberger) of Echo, Minnesota, and Phyllis (Mrs. Iren Peterson) of Hanley Falls, Minnesota; one son, Denton, of Hanley Falls, Minnesota; five grandchildren: Alec LaMar and Richard Dirnberger of Echo, Diane, David and Debra Erickson of Hanley Falls; two great grandchildren: Jill and Stacy Dirnberger of Echo; one brother, Dr. Edwin Erickson of Edina, Minnesota; as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Mr. Erickson was preceded in death by his parents, his wife in March of 1972, an infant son, five sisters and three brothers. IN MEMORY OF ARTHUR A.
