Arnold James Hegna was born October 4, 1932 in Renville County to parents Arthur and Josie (Saby) Hegna. He was confirmed in the Lutheran faith. In 1953 Arnold married Virginia Pederson. To this union were born six daughters: Debra, Julie, Kathy, Kerry, Pam and Amy and one son: Allen. Arnold passed away at his home in Granite Falls on Monday, February 24, 1997 at the age of 64 years, 4 months, and 21 days. He is survived by his daughters: Debra (and Rick Hilden) Hegna, Julie (and David) Halverson, Kathy (and Steve) Barber, Kerry (and Hiram) Johnson, Pam (and Kyle) Weber, and Amy (and Todd) Tennis. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, sister Marie Anderson, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, Allen, and brother-in-law Monte Anderson.
