Arne E. Jacobson was born April 20, 1901, in Stony Run Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, where he was a lifetime resident. He was the son of Martin A. and Jorgine (Christopherson) Jacobson. He was baptized and confirmed in Camp Release Church of Stony Run Township. On January 22, 1927, he was united in marriage to Clara Rosetter, who preceded him in death last October 3, 1969. To this union, two children were born: Robert E. Jacobson of Granite Falls, Minnesota, and Joyce (Mrs. Robert Kennedy) of New York City, both of whom survive. Arne passed away Saturday, June 13, 1970, at the Clarkfield Community Hospital, Clarkfield, Minnesota, after a lingering illness, at the age of 69 years. Also surviving are two sisters: Mabel Jacobson and Hulda Mortenson, both of Granite Falls, Minnesota, and five grandchildren. One brother, Julian Jacobson of Granite Falls preceded him in death.
