Ardis Evelyn (Holm) Miller was born on October 22, 1929, at Clarkfield Minnesota, to parents August and Hilda (Hognestad) Holm. She was baptized on December 6, 1929, and confirmed June 11, 1944, at Trinity Lutheran Church of Boyd, Minnesota. She graduated from Boyd High School in 1947 and attended Business College for one year. Ardis married Orville E. Miller on May 5, 1950, at the First Lutheran Church in Hector, Minnesota. To this union three sons were born: Brent, Larry and Wayne. Orville and Ardis lived in Minneapolis, Minnesota, following their marriage. Ardis was a bookkeeper for the Pillsbury Company. They moved to Clarkfield in 1957 and Ardis worked at the F&M Bank. Ardis taught Sunday School at the Clarkfield Lutheran Church and also was a Den Mother for Cub Scouts and enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren. Ardis passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2007, at the age of 77 years, 3 months, and 29 days. She is survived by her husband, Orville; her children: Brent (and Mary), Larry (and Joy) and Wayne all of Clarkfield. She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Colleen Chase, Eric and Kyle Miller, Melissa Sherod, Allison Sorenson and Bryce, Teal and Hudson Miller; and great grandchildren: Brenna, Tara, Ethan, Anais and Enan. Also surviving are brothers Wesley (and Donna) Holm and Hardell Holm. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Harley Holm and sister Avis Lundy. Blessed be her memory.
