Ardeth Maxine (Dotseth) Johnson was born November 17, 1912 at Clarkfield, Minnesota, the daughter of Alfred and Hilda (Dahlberg) Dotseth. She grew up on the family farm near Clarkfield, where she received her education and graduated from high school. Ardeth married Melvin Christen Johnson, of Granite Falls, on December 20. 1930. To this union two children were born: Gregory Christen and Jeffrey Charles. They lived in the Clarkfield/Hazel Run vicinity for many years. In 1966 they moved to their home in Edina and remained there until Chris' death. Ardeth then moved to the Heritage Manor for a short time and then to the Edina Care Center. Ardeth passed away at the Care Center on Tuesday morning, November 26, 1996 at the age of 84 years and 10 days. She is survived by her sons Jeff and Greg and his wife, Harriet; her granddaughter Kim and her husband Bob Berbaum, her very special great granddaughter, Brooke Berbaum, and her sister Hazel Foster. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chris: two brothers, Irving and Warren; and two sisters, Lorrraine and Claire.
