Anton Sabe was born June 24, 1910, to Heine and Susan (Eide Nelson) Sabe at Clarkfield. He was baptized at St. Lucas Lutheran Church and cofirmed at Israel Lutheran Church. He farmed with his brother until he entered the service in August 1942 and was discharged in October 1945. He worked as a mechanic at the Implement Shop for several years and at Farmers Elevator for 19 years until he retired three years ago. Mr. Sabe belonged to the Volunteer Fire Department for 17 years. On July 19, 1954, he married Thelma Satre. On December 2, he suffered a severe heart attack and passed away at the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital at the age of 65. Survivors include his wife Thelma; two daughters: Susan at home and Irene (Mrs. Vergel Enevoldsen) of Boyd; two sonns: Allen of Gluek and John of Aspen, Colorado; son-in-law, Vergel Enevoldsen; and daughter-in-law, Sharon Satre; seven grandchildren: Gayle, Joan, Valerie, Karen, and Cheryl Enevoldsen, and Linda and Mark Satre; two sisters: Anna (Mrs. Melvin Applewick) and Tillie (Mrs. Carl Enstad); one brother, Harold. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Hazel (Mrs. Herbert Friberg). IN MEMORY OF ANTON S.
