Anton Kjos, the son of Gunder and Maria Kjos, was born February 26, 1877, in Friendship Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, where he lived all his life. He was baptized in the Clarkfield Lutheran Church and confirmed there on November 11, 1892. Mr. Kjos, the last surviving member of his family, passed away at the Clarkfield Community Hospital November 17, 1968, at the age of 91 years. His brothers, John, Carl, Oscar, Lewis and Fred and a sister, Christina, along with his parents preceded him in death.
