Anton Olai Jorgenson was born in Sandnes Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, November 24, 1895, the son of Thor and Kjerstie (Foss) Jorgenson. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. In the spring of 1915, he moved with this mother to a farm near Hazel Run, Minnesota, where he continued to reside until three years ago when he retired and went to live with his sister, Mrs. Clara Eckland, in Boyd, Minnesota. He passed away Tuesday, May 19, 1970, at the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital, Montevideo, Minnesota, at the age of 74 years. He is survived by two brothers: John of Granite Falls, Minnesota, and Melvin of Hazel Run, Minnesota; two sisters: Mrs. John Faaberg of Dawson, Minnesota, and Mrs. Lloyd Eckland; along with many nieces and nephews. His parents and one sister preceded him in death.
