Annette Christine
(Wilson) Mikelson
August 25, 1888 – June 23, 1963
Annette Christine Mikelson, one of eight children of Halvor G. and Annie (Tongen) Wilson, was born August 25, 1888, on the farm east of Hazel Run, Minnesota. She was baptized in Yellow Medicine Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hanley Falls, Minnesota, on September 23, 1888 by Rev. Knut Thorstenson. On November 22, 1903, she was confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Zion Lutheran Church at Hazel Run by Rev. C.T. Clausen. She clerked for eight years at Hazel Run. On July 3, 1916, she was united in marriage to Emil E. Mikelson by Rev. M. Halvorson at the Nazareth Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. To this union seven children were born: Lucille, Muriel, Evelyn, Dorothy, Harris, Ruth and Richard. Nettie lived her entire married life in Clarkfield, her family being her main interest in life. She was active in Sunday School work and some of her greatest enjoyments came from her associations in Ladies Aid. She entered the Clarkfield Community Hospital on Sunday, June 16, 1963, and passed away on June 23, 1963, at the age of 74 years. She is survived by her husband, Emil; five daugters: Lucille (Mrs. Lloyd Nelson) of Montevideo, Muriel (Mrs. Myron Friberg) of Clarkfield, Evelyn (Mrs. Chester Dalager) of Minneota, Dorothy (Mrs. John Dyste) of Forman, North Dakota, and Ruth (Mrs. Harry Ziemann) of Hudson, Wisconsin; two sons: Harris and Richard of Minneapolis; twenty-two grandchildren; a brother, Lawrence Wilson of Downey, California, and a sister, Martha Wilson of Sacred Heart, Minnesota. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.G. Wilson; one sister, Hilda; and four brothers: Hans, August, Ingval and Oscar, preceded her in death. IN MEMORY OF MRS. EMIL P.
