IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Anne (Cornelius)
Holm
November 16, 1871 – February 12, 1943
Mrs. Ann Holm was born November 16, 1871, in Fillmore County, Minnesota, to the parents Ole and Anne Cornelius and there baptized into the Lutheran faith. At the age of two years, she came with her parents to Lisbon Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, where she spent her early years. She was confirmed by Rev. Ole Lokensgaard on October 3, 1886, at Bergen Lutheran Church. On November 4, 1895, she was united in marriage to Mr. Anton Holm at the Bergen Lutheran Church by Rev. H.O. Fjeldstad. To this union six children were born. In 1897, she and her husband purchased a farm in Friendship Township, where they lived until the spring of 1940 when they moved to Clarkfield. Mr. Holm died February 12, 1943. Mrs. Holm was a faithful member of the Clarkfield Lutheran Church and the Friendship Ladies Aid. Due to failing health, she was unable to attend the services the last years, but found great comfort in reading the Word of God and appreciated the reading of God's Word, prayers and songs by her pastor and others who visited her. She suffered a stroke February 26, 1957, and was taken to the Clarkfield Community Hospital where she passed away peacefully March 21, 1957, at the age of 85 years, four months and five days. Surviving are five children: Olger, Pauline and Arthur, all of Clarkfield, Emma (Mrs. Alfred Lee) of Montevideo, Minnesota, August of Hector, Minnesota; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two brothers: Sander of Alberta, Canada, and Hans in Bremerton, Washington; and a number of other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband; son Alvin; her parents; three brothers and two sisters. She was a kind and loving mother. Blessed be her memory. A favorite verse of Mrs. Holm was: I'm going home to Jesus, I'm going home to stay, I know I'll soon be traveling, the last mile of the way. My trials will be ended, When Heaven calls for me. I'm going home to Jesus, to live eternally. IN MEMORY OF MRS.
