Anna Vold was born April 8, 1914, the daughter of Gustav and Gunhild Skommedahl near Erskine, in Polk County, Minnesota, . She was baptized in the Norwegian Lutheran Church there by Rev. N.J. Lind. In 1926 she came with her parents to the Hazel Run community, was confirmed in the local church by Rev. Andrew Haugland. During her girlhood she worked at various places in the community. On June 6, 1942, she married Leonard Vold, also of the Hazel Run community, and they made their home there since. Their union was blessed with two children, Margaret and Lynnae. Mrs. Vold was in normal good health until Thursday when she became ill with pneumonia. Death came suddenly on Saturday following at the Granite Falls Hospital, Granite Falls, Minnesota. She was 36 years of age. Her passing is mourned by her husband and her two daughters; two sisters: Ingeborg (Mrs. Salveson) of Erskine, Minnesota, and Olive (Mrs. Kimler) of Fairmont, North Dakota; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was a devoted wife and mother and will be greatly missed by the family and entire community. Funeral Services from the P.J.
