Obituary

Anna Melbostad was born on March 12, 1902, in Rapidan Township near Mankato, Minnesota. Her parents were Christian and Sina (Haugen) Strand. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church. Anna was a faithful member of Clarkfield Lutheran Church, Clarkfield, Minnesota. On September 22, 1925, Anna was united in marriage to Elmer Melbostad at Mankato, Minnesota. Anna was a good homemaker and an excellent cook who loved to entertain people. She loved music, was an excellent pianist and a farmer piano teacher. Anna is survived by one niece, Audrey Hill of Warren, Michigan; three nephews, Marlow Hoff of Mankato, Joe Appelwick of Pine City, Minnesota, and Arvid Melbostad of Clarkfield; and several grand nieces and nephews. Preceeding her in death were her parents; her husband; sisters, Mathilda, Minnie, Hannah and Lena; one brother Andrew; and a nephew, Conrad Hoff. She will be missed by her family and friends!
