Anna Kjos, who was residing at the Emmanuel Nursing Home of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, passed away December 30, 1978. At the time of her death she was 94 years old. She was born to parents Lars and Mathea Hoel on July 1, 1884, at Clarkfield, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed in the Clarkfield Lutheran Church where she was a member for 73 years prior to moving to Seattle, Washington. She moved to the Emmanuel Nursing Home at Detroit Lakes in 1974. Anna was married to Oscar Kjos on February 5, 1921, at Central Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This union was blessed with the birth of three children, of which two are still living. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband who passed away in September of 1952; and one son Wilfred who died in 1961. Anna is survived by a son Holland D. Kjos of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota; a daughter, Mrs. Gerald (Joyce) Mowery of Seattle, Washington; one brother Alvin Hoel of Clarkfield; along with several nieces and nephews. BLESSED BE HER MEMORY!
