Obituary

Anna Elizabeth Hughes was born in Arkdale, Wisconsin, on January 10, 1879, the daughter of Andrew and Sophronia (Barnson) Isaacs. She was baptized and confirmed by Rev. Oppegard. In 1884 the family moved to Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, and settled on a farm in Normania Township. In 1906 she was united in marriage to John Hughes of Glencoe, Minnesota. She moved to Bridger, Montana, in 1912 and lived there until 1947 when she moved back to Hazel Run and made her home with her brother, George. On November 13, 1950, she was stricken with a cerebral hemorrhage from which she never recovered and passed away at the Sauslee Rest Home in Montevideo, Minnesota, on November 6, 1953, at the age of 74 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, four sisters and five brothers. She leaves to mourn her passing one sister, Mabel Clemetson and one brother, George Isaacs, both of Granite Falls, Minnesota, and a host of relatives and friends.
