Anna Gulbrandson Husby was born to Gulbran and Elisa Gulbrandson on December 11, 1886, in Honefoss, Norway. She was baptized and confirmed in Norway. There were eleven children in her family, who with her parents, have preceded her in death. She came to America in 1905, at the age of 17, and worked in Montevideo until her marriage. She was united in marriage to Ole E. Husby, March 22, 1907, and lived on the homestead until 1955 when she moved to Clarkfield. To this union five children were born: Elmer, Esther, Arthur, Orville and Alice. She passed away at Luther Haven, Montevideo, Minnesota, on February 11, 1969, at the age of 82 years. She was preceded in death by her husband and two sons, Elmer and Orville. She is survived by Esther Asbjornson of Dawson, Minnesota, Arthur C. and Alice Kirkeby of Clarkfield; five grandchildren; two great grandchldren; nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Petri Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid until the church was dissolved. She then transferred to the Clarkfield Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the Clarkfield American Legion Auxiliary. IN MEMORY OF MRS.
