Anna Grudem was born October 23, 1887, at Brookings, South Dakota, to Iver and Nellie (Hanson) Grudem. She married Charles B. Johnson of Cottonwood, Minnesota, on March 2, 1912, at Pipestone, Minnesota. They farmed for three years at Cottonwood and then purchased a farm in Swede Prairie Township which was their home for 44 years. In 1956 they retired and moved to the home they built in Clarkfield, Minnesota. She passed away April 6, 1973, at the Clarkfield Community Memorial Hospital, at the age of 85 years. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one sister, and five brothers. She is survived by one son, Warren, and daughter-in-law, Marilyn of Princeton, Wisconsin, 11 grandchildren, one great grandchild, and one brother, Rudolph of Minneapolis. IN MEMORY OF MRS.
