Obituary

Mrs. Anna Berg Lee was born in Dane County, Wisconsin, on November 4, 1870, the daughter of Hans and Ingeborg (Quam) Christensen and came to Minnesota with her parents at the age of six months. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith and was confirmed by Rev. Knute Thorstenson. She grew to womanhood on the farm with her parents which is now occupied by Mr. and Mrs. John Ford. She was united in marriage to Ole H. Berg in 1891. They lived on a farm in Friendship Township. To this union two children were born, namely Ida (Mrs. Olaus Nyland) of Hazel Run, Minnesota, and the late Hardy Berg of Clarkfield. In 1923 her husband, Ole Berg, passed away. She then made her home with her daughter, Ida and son-in-law, Olaus Nyland. She moved to Clarkfield where she took care of her aged father. In 1933, she married A.O. Lee of Clarkfield who passed away in 1942. Mrs. Lee lived at her home in Clarkfield until her health failed and skilled care was necessary, so she entered the Lutheran home in Madison, Minnesota, in 1954. She passed away December 22, 1957, at the age of 87 years, one month and 19 days. Her son, Hardy, preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her parting, her daughter, Ida, and son-in-law, Olaus, eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; two sisters and a brother, Mrs. Ida Anderson of Fergus Falls, Minnesota, Mrs. John Ford and Johnny Christensen of Clarkfield, her nieces and nephews and stepchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers: Christian, George, Alex, Herman and one sister, Caroline (Mrs. John Carlson). IN MEMORY OF MRS. ANNA M.
