Anna Serina
(Anderson) Kittelson
September 4, 1881 – October 1, 1958
Mrs. Anna S. Kittelson was born in Nebraska, September 4, 1881, the daughter of Magnus and Ingeborg Anderson. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith and confirmed by Rev. Thorstenson, pioneer pastor in this county. Deceased grew to womanhood in the Cottonwood community, where she attended public and parochial school. On March 11, 1903, she was united in marriage to Mr. Olai Kittelson of the Hanley Falls community. Two children blessed this union, namely, Hartford of Montevideo and Mildred Olson of Granite Falls. Mrs. Kittelson moved with her husband and family to the Clarkfield community about the year 1910. Here they farmed for 35 years until the year 1946 when they retired and moved to Hazel Run. She and Mr. Kittelson made their home there until his death on August 22, 1951. She remained there for two years before moving to Granite Falls to live with her daughter. She retained her membership in the Clarkfield Lutheran Church and was a member of the Friendship Ladies Aid. Deceased was taken to the Clarkfield Hospital on Wednesday, September 24th and passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 1958, at 9:40 p.m. She attained the age of 77 years and 27 days. Surviving are her two children; two grandchildren, Dennis and Lois Kittelson; one great grandchild, Dennis Kittelson, Jr.; one daughter-in-law; two sisters: Mrs. Lena Trovatten of Hazel Run and Mrs. Samuel S. Olson of Minneapolis; two brothers: Andrew M. Anderson of Granite Falls and Martin M. Anderson of Minneapolis. Brother John, her parents and husband preceded her in death. IN MEMORY OF MRS.
