Anna Syrvina
(Akre) Trandahl
September 5, 1872 – January 5, 1969
Anna Syrvina Akre Trandahl was born in Sondmore, Norway, September 5, 1872, of parents Jorgen and Pernilla (Ellingson) Akre. She was baptized October 20, 1872. She was confirmed October 2, 1887, by Rev. Sjonning in Sabo Church. She was united in marriage to Andrew J. Trandahl May 7, 1898, by Rev. Sjonning and immigrated to the United States in February, 1908 with her husband and four children. The family settled near Echo, Minnesota, and later years moved to the Clarkfield community where she lived on a farm with her husband and son, John, and later moved to town where she made her home with her son, John. She entered the Clarkfield Care Center February 19, 1966. She was taken by ambulance to the hospital January 1, 1969, and passed away January 5, 1969, at the age of 96 years. Anna was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three brothers and four sisters. She leaves to mourn her passing her children: John and Alfred of Clarkfield, Emma (Mrs. Herbert Johnson) of Montevideo, Minnesota, Theodore of Dawson, Minnesota, Mrs. Petra Kompelien of Clarkfield, and Minnie (Mrs. H.C. Soppeland) of Minneapolis; 20 grandchildren; 50 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. She was a loving and kind mother and will be greatly missed by her family, relatives and friends. Blessed be her memory. IN MEMORY OF MRS.
