Obituary

A. Martin Nerheim was born March 1, 1890, in Stavanger, Norway, to Mr. and Mrs. Alf Nerheim. He arrived in the United States at age 18 and farmed near Boyd, Minnesota, for most of his life. He served in World War I and was a member of the Oien-Horgen American Legion Post 198 for more than 60 years. He passed away May 6, 1975, at Community Mercy Hospital, Onamia, Minnesota, at the age of 85 years. He is survived by his wife Mildred of Garrison, Minnesota, and three sons: Howard of Spring Lake Park, Minnesota, Glenn of Naperville, Illinois, and Noble of Arcadia, California. He is also survived by four grandchildren. Martin Nerheim was preceded in death by two brothers: Alfred Alfson of Williston, North Dakota, and Hans Alfson of St. Paul, Minnesota, and by his first wife Hannah in 1955.
