Amy Charlotte Skaug was born April 26, 1885, at Carver, Minnesota, to Andrew and Sophie (Olander) Youngmark. At an early age she moved with her family to the Clarkfield, Minnesota area. On December 1, 1910, she married Emil Skaug. Amy and Emil had three children: Cleo, Allen and Stanley. Since Emil's death in 1971 Amy has resided at Careview Mt. Olivet Retirement Home in Minneapolis. She died July 3, 1980, at Careview Nursing Home in Minneapolis, at the age of 95 years. She is survived by her daughter, Cleo Kirkeby of Minneapolis; her sons: Allen Skaug of Forest Lake, Minnesota, and Stanley (and Norma) Skaug of Omaha, Nebraska; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and one sister, Lillian Hagen of Kenosha, Wisconsin.
