Amelia M. (Giebink) Miller was born on November 9, 1910, in Fountain Prairie Township, Pipestone County, Minnesota. She was the daughter of John and Hattie (Vanderbush) Giebink. Amelia married Arthur L. Miller on March 28, 1934, at Holland, Minnesota. They were the parents of a daughter, Ardith. Arthur passed away in 1986. She resided in the Hanley Falls Apartments from 1986 to October of 1998. At that time she became a resident of the Clarkfield Care Center, Clarkfield, Minnesota. Amelia moved to the Granite Manor, Granite Falls, Minnesota, in February of 2008 and was residing there at the time of her death. Amelia enjoyed sewing, crocheting and crossword puzzles. Amelia passed away on Monday, March 10, 2008, at the age of 97 years, 4 months and 1 day. She is survived by her daughter, Ardith (and husband Kenneth) Grothen of Hanley Falls, Minnesota, and four grandchildren: Lynette (and Mike) Becker of Chetek, Wisconsin, Sandra VanLerberghe of Apple Valley, Minnesota, Patricia (and Mark) Buysse of Brandon, South Dakota, and James (and Linda) of Alexandria, Minnesota. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and two step great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Arthur.
