Amelia K. Lee, daughter of Ole and Liva (Olson) Kittelson, was born September 6, 1880, in Sandnes Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. In infancy, she was baptized at the Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church, Hanley Falls, Minnesota. As a youth she was confirmed in the same church where she was a lifelong member. In 1903, she was united in marriage with John E. Lee of Hanley Falls. This union was blessed with four children, three living. She entered the Clarkfield Hospital June 25, 1970, where she passed away on Monday, July 6, 1970, at 7:20 p.m. She had lived 89 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, one granddaughter, four brothers and two sisters. Surviving to mourn her passing are: one sister, Mrs. Mabel Schlesky of Minneapolis; three sons: George Lee of Bryant, South Dakota, Ordell Lee of Downey, California, and Lloyd Lee of Hanley Falls; five grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; together with other relatives and friends.
