IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Amanda Malvina
(Aarestad) Wilson
November 18, 1889 – June 25, 1957
Amanda Malvina Aarestad was born on November 18, 1889, on a farm near Hazel Run, Minnesota, the daughter of Rasmus and Maria (Isaacs) Aarestad. She was baptized by Rev. Oppegaard and confirmed by Rev. Hanson in Bethlehem Lutheran Church, near her home. She lived with her parents until December 28, 1911, when she was united in marriage to Oscar L. Wilson of Hazel Run. To this union was born one son, Vernon. In the year 1919, the family moved to Dawson, Minnesota, and lived there four years, returning to Hazel Run in 1923. In 1940, they moved to Montevideo, Minnesota, where they have lived until the present time. On June 24th, 1957, while visiting at the J.H. Jorgenson home in Hazel Run, she was stricken with a cerebral hemorrhage. She was rushed to the Clarkfield Community Hospital where the best medical help was given her, but she passed away on June 25th, 1957, without having regained consciousness. Mrs. Wilson was an active worker in the church organizations wherever she lived. She cheered many with her singing. She leaves to mourn her sudden departure, her husband, Oscar, and son, Vernon, daughter-in-law, Marjorie and two grandsons, Terrance and Charles Wilson, all of Redwood Falls, Minnesota; two brothers: Frank and Reynold Aarestad, and a sister, Stella, all of Breckenridge, Minnesota, a sister, Mrs. Mildred McGinnis of Freeport, Illinois; besides a host of other relatives and friends. Her parents, and three sisters, Suella, Esther and Ada preceded her in death. Blessed be her memory. IN MEMORY OF MRS. OSCAR L.
