Alvilda Erickson, 77 of Boyd, Minnesota, passed away, December 20, 1993, at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Dawson, Minnesota. Alvilda Anderson was born May 29, 1916, to Carl and Karen (Martinson) Anderson. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church of Boyd. She attended School District 55. She was united in marriage to Virgil L. Erickson on June 8, 1935, in Watertown, South Dakota, and they resided in Boyd all their lives. She enjoyed having a lot of coffee company, quilting, playing the organ, and cooking at the City Cafe in Boyd. She is survived by four children; Dennis (Kathy) of Chokio, Minnesota, Vincent of Boyd, Carol (Larry) Strand of Boyd, and Anita Hahn of Montevideo; eleven grandchildren, Lisa and Jeff Erickson, Dawn and Steve Olson, Wayne and Julie Strand, Bradley, Brian, Darwin, Jim, and Missy Strand, Chad and Kim Hahn, and Carin Hahn; four great grandchildren Devin, Megan, and Justin Olson, and Tia Strand. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and one sister.
