Alma Carolina Youngmark was born in Tyro Township of Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, on October 3, 1895, to Charles and Marie Anna (Rodness) Larson. Portions of her life were spent in Clarkfield and California. After residing in California for 13 years, she returned to Minneapolis and lived there to the time of her death, on October 25, 1973, at Mt. Sinai Hospital at the age of 78, following a lingering illness. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara, and Ward Gehant of Hopkins, Minnesota, grandchildren, Dana Gehant and Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Gehant. Preceding her in death were two brothers, Peter and Gustav, two sisters, Martha and Myrtle, and one grandson, Lance Gehant.
