IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Alma (Gautefall)
Johnson
March 3, 1893 – March 3, 1893
Alma (Gautefall) Johnson was born in Hazel Run Township on March 3, 1893, the fourth child of Eric and Anna (Kjelleberg) Gautefall. She grew to womanhood in her farm home four miles south of Hazel Run and was confirmed by Rev. Lokensgaard at Hanely Falls. On March 20, 1912, she was united in marriage to Halvor C. Johnson. To this union nine children were born: Grace Alfrida, who died in infancy, Grace (Mrs. Ray Jorgenson), Evelyn, Mae (Mrs. Ostman), Helen (Mrs. George Jorgenson), and Derald, all from Minneapolis, Pearl (Mrs. John Mau) of Hazel Run, Doris (Mrs. William Atkinson) of Bountiful, Utah, and Erling, who passed away at the age of 18 months. Mrs. Johnson lived in the Hazel Run community until 1944, when she, her husband, and the two youngest children moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, where she resided until her death. Mrs. Johnson passed away suddenly at her home in Salt Lake City, Utah, August 4, 1964, at the age of 71 years. Her health had been failing for the past two years. She was a member of the Lutheran church in that city, a kind neighbor, and a most devoted wife and mother. She is preceded in death by her parents; two children; two sisters, Mollia (Mrs. Halvor Dyrdahl), and Emma; two brothers, Olai and Alfred. To mourn their loss, besides her husband and children, are seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren; one brother, Helmer Gautefall; three sisters: Tilla (Mrs. Ole Johnson), Emma (Mrs. Albert Mau), and Mabel (Mrs. George Johnson); a number of nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends, who will miss her greatly.
