Alma (Stenson) Christopherson, 95, died on Thursday, August 6, 1987, at the Clarkfield Care Center, Clarkfield, Minnesota. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 8, 1987, from the Bergen Lutheran Church of Stony Run Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, with Pastor Gordon A. Trelstad officiating. Organist was Mrs. Dorothy McCoy with vocal music by Mrs. Debbie Landmark. Casket Bearers were Ronald Erickson, Earl Hofmann, Curt Nielsen, Lance Olson, Mark Stenson and Wayne Virkus. Final Resting Place is the Bergen Lutheran Cemetery, Stony Run Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. She was born April 24, 1892, in Lac qui Parle County near Boyd, Minnesota, to Steen and Nellie (Langeland) Johnson. She was baptized in the Trinity Lutheran Church of Boyd. On October 14, 1907, she was confirmed at Bergen Lutheran Church of Stony Run Township. She taught parochial school in various districts. On December 22, 1914 she married Gustav Christopherson of rural Montevideo, Minnesota. They farmed until the fall of 1947 when they retired and moved to Clarkfield, Minnesota. She is survived by son Hiram Christopherson and daughter Gladys Helgeson of Clarkfield. One daughter-in-law and one son-in-law, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
