Miss Alma Abrahamson was born November 11, 1888, near Hanley Falls, Minnesota, to Mads and Anne (Svennungson) Abrahamson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church of Hanley Falls. After completing her college education, she taught school in Montana, California and at Sante Fe, New Mexico, where she made her home until November of 1972 when she returned to Clarkfield to live at the nursing home. She had been of failing health for a number of years and entered the Clarkfield Hospital in June where she passed away July 7, 1973, at the age of 84 years. Surviving her are two brothers, Selmer of St. Paul, Minnesota, and Clarence of Wood Lake, Minnesota, plus a host of nieces and nephews.
