Obituary

Alina (Allie) Camelia Anderson was born January 24, 1886, in Vallers Township, the daughter of Andrew and Julia (Helickson) Anderson. She was baptized at the St. Lucas Church by the Rev. Thorstenson and confirmed on July 9, 1899, by the Rev. Romstad. On July 20, 1904, she was united in marriage to Magnus O. Miller, the Rev. Romstad officiating. To this union were born two children: Florence, who passed away at about the age of ten and Arvid, who passed away March 17, 1968. The couple farmed until moving to Marshall, Minnesota, in November, 1942. Her husband passed away on February 12, 1949, the same day and month as she did. (Another note here is the fact that a nephew, Lestoff Miller, passed away about noon the same day as she did.) Mrs. Anderson passed away Saturday morning about 4 a.m., February 12, 1972, at the Marshall Hospital, at the age of 86 years. She is survived by one daughter-in-law, Arline Miller; three grandchildren: Darline (Mrs. Donald Molde) of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, Lee and Scott Miller of Cottonwood, Minnesota; four great grandchildren; two brothers and a sister: Albert Hovdesven of Clarkfield and Fred Anderson and Lily Anderson of Cottonwood.
